Uses:
Aquaculture:
- Increases the presence of oxygen in the water of shrimp farms.
- It is a powerful oxidant that very effectively destroys anaerobic organisms which are responsible for rotting and contamination of aquaculture crops.
- The H2 O2 has a strong destructive action on fungi, molds, bacteria, and other infectious agents.
Agriculture:
- Added in low doses in irrigation water; supplies oxygen to compacted soils.
Pulp and Paper Industry:
- It is used in the delignification and bleaching stages of cellulose pulp.
Food Industry:
- Sterilisation in the food packaging process and in the production of vegetable oils.
It is also used in the textile, cosmetics, leather, water and industrial effluent treatment, mining and metallurgy industries, etc.
